ACT means that the core of the wound strings is coated with grooves that the wrap wire adheres to. This releases the strings' sonic potential and makes them intonate with outstanding precision. The core wire is coated with a Quantum Nickel™ wrap wire, which is more magnetic than standard nickel-coated wire. This provides the strings a bigger sound and makes them more responsive to different playing styles.
