EMG 45P is EMG’s P bass pickup in an extended range housing with the treble magnet closer to the neck (like a Spector or Yamaha bass). It is intended for 6-string models that have normal string spacing.
The EMG 45P covers a wide sonic palette of classic and modern bass sounds. Because the 45P utilizes ceramic magnets coupled with short, squat coils, the tone has brilliant high-end articulation, warmth, and incredible low end punch. Countless pros use this bass pickup because of its natural presence, superior dynamics, and low noise.
This model uses an extended housing that is 4.5 inches (115mm). For even more headroom, you can use this pickup with 18V power (see the pickup’s installation instructions first).
