While ESP first got started in 1975 as a small repair shop in Tokyo, it was really toward the mid ‘80s when their guitars and basses grabbed the attention of players around the world. The LTD ’87 Series are faithful recreations of this set of instruments from ESP’s 1987 catalog.
ESP LTD Mirage Deluxe ’87 is based on the original ESP Mirage body shape. It’s a 25.5” scale, bolt-on shred machine with an alder body, three-piece extra thin U-shaped maple neck and Macassar ebony fretboard with 22 extra jumbo -size frets.
These guitars feature a Floyd Rose 1000 bridge and a pickup set that includes a Seymour Duncan Distortion TB-6 (with original style bobbins and a push-pull control to split the coils) in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails single coil in the neck position.
This version is finished in turquoise color with gloss lacquer, offset inlays, white neck and headstock bindings and black metal parts.
