Audient EVO 16 is a high quality 8-in, 8-out USB audio interface for Mac and PC. It features 8 inputs, 8 outputs and 2 independent headphone outs. EVO 16 is also equiped with a clear multicolor display, simple controls and a stylish appearance.
Audient EVO 16 features Smartgain function, which means that the interface will adjust the gain of its eight inputs automatically after a short playing sample. This will greatly increase the speed of your work. Gain levels are of course adjustable manually and can be saved for future use.
In adition of its eight inputs, the EVO 16 has two eight channel ADAT inputs, so the maximum number of input channels is 24. The two inputs on the front of the device are equiped with a HiZ-DI-feature for direct connection of electric guitars and basses.
Additionally, Audient EVO 16 has eight analog outputs and two eight channel ADAT outputs. Including the headphone outs, it offers 28 output channels. The device also has a Word Clock connection for clocking and it connects to a computer with a USB-C-connector. EVO 16 also includes a Loopback feature, which allows you to record the outputs of the connected computer to their own tracks. This makes streaming and podcast recording extremely simple.
The EVO 16 is easy to use. Its display will show the required information clearly and the device is largely controlled with just one knob. The interface can also be controled with the EVO control software from your computer, which grants access to a large number of parameters that can be saved. In addition, the front panel has a customisable F-function button.
The Audient EVO 16 is in the top of its price point in its audio quality. The mix gain of the inputs is 58 dB with only -127,5 dBu EIN noise ratio. The frequency responce is flat with +/- 0,5 dB accuracy in the range of 10 Hz - 40 kHz. The dynamic range of the AD converter is 121 dB (A) and the DA converter has a dynamic range of 112,5 dB(A). The maximum bit depth is 24 bits and the samplerate gets to 96 kHz.
