EMG JVX Set Black Bass Pickups

EMG JVX Set is a mixture of old and new, utilizing traditional exposed pole pieces and EMG's X Series preamp. This preamp bridges the gap between passive and active tone and feel. Developed to deliver the classic tone and look of a vintage Jazz Bass without the noise often associated with vintage passive pickups.

This pickup maintains the "faded" attack of the offset pole pieces that many players prefer in combination with EMG's most dynamic preamp. The JVX Set will appeal to the player looking for a "retro" vibe with the active tone and frequency range of an EMG.

The X series preamp gives the pickup a more dynamic range along with increased headroom while keeping the more traditional string-to-string balance. X series pickups also come with an Active Tone Control (VLPF) designed to roll-off (attenuate) high frequencies, similar to a typical passive tone control. The result is a noiseless single coil guitar pickup with a classic EMG sound that bridges the gap between active and passive.
