Seymour Duncan Antiquity P-Bass Raised A is their Antiquity for P bass, but with taller A-string poles for a compensated string-to-string balance.
Fender used this pole stagger for one year during the late 50s to compensate for the lack of output from the A-string. Like the originals, Seymour Duncan uses .625 rod magnets on the A-string for better overall balance. Otherwise, this pickup has the same look and sound as their standard Antiquity for P-Bass, and it is built using the same traditional techniques.
Hand made in Seymour Duncan Custom Shop, the Antiquity for P-Bass uses hand-fabricated forbon bobbins, plain enamel mag wire, hand ground sand-cast magnets, brass bottom plate, and waxed cloth pushback wire. Each is lacquered and potted in lamp black paraffin wax like the originals.
