Suhr Classic T retains many of the original specifications of the Classic T Pro including the SSCII hum cancelling system and stainless steel frets. The Wilkinson compensated 3-saddle bridge provide classic 3-saddle tone with superior intonation.

The updated Classic T features a Maple neck with a 60’s C vintage standard neck profile and your choice of Maple (on Swamp Ash body) or Indian Rosewood (on Alder body) fingerboard. The neck is tinted and finished with satin acrylic urethane, which provides the smooth feel of natural wood as well as protection from moisture.

Alder is one of the most popular guitar body woods of the 1960’s and is favored by blues and rock players for its strong, clear, full-bodied sound, with beefy mids and excellent lows. Swamp Ash, a popular body wood in the 1950’s, is highly resonant and offers a slightly scooped midrange.

The Classic T is equipped with 60’s C Vintage Standard (.810” - .930”) profile. Rolled edges and a 9″-12” compound fingerboard radius offers a substantial, yet comfortable shape.

Medium stainless steel frets (.055″ x .090″) offer silky smooth bending and long-lasting playability. Every Suhr receives a PLEK fret dress, ensuring the best possible string action, playability and intonation.

The contoured heel of the Classic T allows for easier access to the upper register. For optimum tone and stability, the neck joint must not be too tight or too loose, therefore all Suhr neck pockets are precisely fitted by hand, by expert craftsmen.

The Wilkinson compensated bridge was chosen for its superior tuning stability, sustain, and intonation performance while maintaining the classic look and vibe of a true vintage instrument. The Classic T is also equipped with staggered Suhr Locking Tuners, which provide an 18:1 gear ratio, improved tuning stability, and no need for a traditional string tree.

The Classic T features Suhr’s Classic T single coil pickups wound to produce a broad range of classic T-style tones, from clean and snappy to warm and punchy with just the right amount of growl.

In addition, the guitar has SSCII silent single coil system. The SSCII is installed inside the body of the guitar and works with traditional single coil pickups. It reduces 60 cycle hum and has no impact on tone, no batteries to change – just transparent noise reduction.

Suhr’s finishing process provides an unparalleled combination of protection, beauty, and tone. Great care is taken to ensure that the thinnest possible layers of finish are applied. This allows the wood to resonate freely while still providing ample protection.
