Andre Nieri is a phenomenal Brazilian musician and composer, who has been a part of the Suhr family for nearly 10 years, getting his first Modern in 2013. Suhr Andre Nieri Signature Modern is the sleek and classy culmination of years of cooperation between the artist and Suhr guitars.
Every detail of this guitar has been chosen carefully with the needs of the artist in mind. It features 24 stainless steel jumbo frets and an ebony freatboard with a 16" radius. The neck of the guitar is roasted maple with satin finish and the neck profile is a comfortable even C clim. The body is crafted from mahogany with a maple top. The woods are all carefully selected and are top quality.
The Suhr Andre Nieri Modern Signature is equipped with two humbucker pickups. The bridge pickup is the hot Suhr SSH+ and the neck position has a classic Suhr SSV. The 5-way blade switch grants the pickups even more versatility. Furthermore, the Gotoh tremolo with 2-post Solid Saddles and Suhr locking tuners will keep the guitar in tune and make setting up the guitar effortless.
The guitar's top has a black satin finish. Rest of the body has been left to its natural color. Scraped binding allows the natural maple to be seen along the edge of the top wood. This painstaking and detailed process accentuates the beauty of the body shape and adds elegance to the design.
“The first time I heard about Suhr Guitars was from Scott Henderson. Ever since Scott started playing Suhr, I have always been intrigued by the sound and tone. A recurring thing I kept hearing Scott say was regarding the feel and playability. I said, ”Ok, THAT’S a guitar, and here we are today. When Suhr reached out to me about making a signature, I said, “Dude! Yes, this is like a dream come true to me.” My first guitar was a Suhr Modern Frost. The finish always looks incredible and feels amazing, so we wanted to bring back a satin finish. We have been working on this guitar since the beginning of the pandemic and we are so proud to have this guitar finally released!”
