Tech 21 SCP-MTL Character Plus Mop Top Liverpool Effects Pedal

Tech 21 Sans Amp Character Plus Series Mop Top Liverpool offers a 100% analog, 2-channel amp model and two different boost pedals in a very compact case. Featuring very versatile controls, both of the amp channels are equipped with a Character-control, which gives you multiple amps in one pedal. The channels are different from eachother to give you even more options. Both channels also feature independent Volume and Drive-controls and the channels share a 3-band EQ.

The Boost section also has its own level. The type and frequenzy of the boost are adjustable. You can also use the Mop Top Liverpools three footswitches to change the channel of the amp model, switch the boost on and off or bypass the whole pedal.

The Mop Top Liverpool works great as a stompbox with an amp, as a pre-amp to drive a power amp or as a direct box to a mixer of a PA.

Range of Settings with CHAR A
Below 12 o’clock serves up a throatier clean sound and warm overdriven tones.
Advancing towards 12 o’clock brings in classic British mids.
Passing 12 o’clock increases clarity to crunchy and overdriven tones.
Full up adds the upper mid crackle of pushed Alnico speakers.

Range of Settings with CHAR B
Below 12 o’clock serves up a full clean sound with lots of bass and highs.
Advancing towards 12 o’clock brings in classic British mids.
Passing 12 o’clock brings in the vocal quality of “Woman Tone.”
Full up boosts the low mids.

Independent Boost Section Features
The Mop Top Liverpool offers 2 boosts in one knob. At 12 o'clock the boost is flat. When you turn the boost knob clockwise, you get up to 12dB of treble boost for a brighter, louder, edgier '60s and '70s vintage vibe. When turned counterclockwise you get up to 12dB of mid-range boost, which tightens up distortion, rythm and lead tones for more modern vibes.
